In the year 2109 A.D, a family of eight are being given a guided tour at the National Museum of British Cartoonists...
"And here we have the preserved head of universally popular cartoonist and former editor of The Beano (2032 - 2053), Sir Gary Northfield. His most famous creation, Derek the Sheep, single-handedly saved the British comic industry and earned Northfield enough money to buy both France and Luxembourg, which he later renamed Northfieldland and Mini-Northfieldland respectively.
Northfield is also famous for creating Nozwamble day, celebrated annually throughout the world on May the Eleventh, for reasons which have long since been forgotten. Some say that this Nozwamble was the saviour of mankind, others say he was a user name registered on a long-extinct message board for Derek the Sheep fans; we may never know for sure. An attempt to establish Nozwambletology as a religion in 2043 by a cat and some other loonies swiftly ended in dismal failure.
Northfield's head has been preserved in this very glass of pickled onions since the day he kicked the bucket. It is hoped that by the year 3000, it will be possible to bring his head back to life so that he can continue to draw funny cartoons to entertain children and students with too much time on their hands until the end of time. Even though he doesn't have any arms anymore.
