Yes, PG, that's so Jak can look cool by comparison. It's the same thing with Bart Simpson and Milhouse.
Actually, to me, I feel Jak is one of the better strips of The Dandy, along with Ollie Fliptrik and Space Raoul. At least, better in comparison with the likes of Blubba, P5 "Class Act" or Dreadlock Holmes.
Also, Mooney, I think you may need to improve on your critical writing. I'm not attacking on you or your opinion, as I acknowledge that you do think it's rubbish. It's just that the word "suck" is such a cliche. (It's used too often.)
Also also, Bananaman's making a comeback but - you've guessed it - they're rubbish reprints based on the cartoon series.

Um, I don't understand the significance of NTY 10.4.80 Presumably, it means the script was originally drawn by some artist with the initials "NTY" on the 10th of April, 1980. Meh, it's not like anyone noticed it. Oh wait... I have also seen Steve Bright's Jonathan Woss Ross. To this day, I have no idea why he appeared in the middle of the script.

NTY 10. 4. 80 means it is from the nutty comic. they show BNO *date* for beano strips in classics of the comics, etc. its a code for the comic shown and date. for all we know, they may have taken that strip from C.O.T.C....who knows? the dandy ed, obviously. however, all these choices are made by the management of D.C. Thompson & co. to save money. cheapskates. according to leo baxendale, they sat left and right handed artists together to share ink pots to save on money.

Yeah, and they apparently save money on toilet paper by reusing it. True story. (Maybe.)
