The people behind the coming series of Dennis and Gnasher and Marvo the wonder chicken! Judging from their other thing...'chuggington', though...it..it doesn't look...quite so bright... With luck it'll be at least 100% better ludorum.com/index.htmlAnd FIFTY TWO EPISODES OF DENNIS AND GNASHER? They'll never be off the box

Chuggington sounds like an alcoholic-themed amusement park, not unlike Duff Gardens from The Simpsons. Not as good as Thomas the Tank Engine anyway. 52 x 11 minute episodes? That's 572 minutes, or 9 hours and 32 minutes! Only at least 12 more months to go...

It's probably gonna have an initial run of one week per episode, making one year. Then they'll show random repeats. Ooh!! I saw La Machine today! Just thought I'd mention it, instead of wasting another thread. Sorry if I disturbed the (short) conversation.

Still quite a fair run. I am looking forward to Marvo the Wonder Chicken, should be a pretty cool show. As long as it is mainly music with very little dialog, which I imagine it probably will be...can't imagine it any other way really. All in all, as long as it defeats Chuggington, I'm happy. You lucky Penguin! I'm dying to see it.

I think that they should swap Dennis' and Marvo's artists around in the Beano and Dandy. Nigel P for Dennis, Jim H for Marvo. They just suit it better than the other way around. And the Dandy should say something about that Marvo the Wonder Chicken originally appeared in the Dandy before on TV, now it just looks like a TV rip-off.

^ I completely agree.
Marvo always seemed the sort to have great potential as comic gold. I think it's an incredible shame he never seemed to meet it...

I've started the Wikipedia article ;D Obviously edit it if you want to!!UPDATE OF THOUGHTS!! I've just been thinking to myself, whether it's a good or bad idea I don't know...but I think that next year, DCT should get rid of the Dennis annual, perhaps maybe replacing it with a TV Annual? It could feature reprints of old Bananaman, Dennis and Marvo strips, along side old Gnasher's Tales, Bea and those ones from Nutty by Steve Bright which had Bananaman's enemies. TV Annuals sell well these days, so maybe, just maybe, this could be a success? I'd buy it! Just a thought!! Let me know if you agree, and if you do what it should be called!

Their website headers give me motion sickness! But I am pleased to hear there will be new Dennis on TV.

They've updated the Dennis and Gnasher header. At first I wasn't too keen but I now really like it! And after looking at various aspects of Chuggington, I have to say, I'm very impressed. This company is pumping out some pretty quality work.

They're using the old Dandy logo font for Gnasher . That's one of my favourites! Just don't know what it's called . It's looking good, now!

The owner of the company is VERY ambitious. 'Chuggington' is opening up a big virtual world, is releasing toys, and much more besides.
I only hope the new Dennis and Marvo series will have effort put in. Dennis is a very valuable property and if they muck that up, they muck a lot up.

Same. If they release more Dennis stuff, then the Beano might go up in sales Current sales are at 61k. ABC have just updated their figures this week.

I don't see how it CAN'T have an increase in sales. ;D
EDIT: 'Chuggington' is now the most viewed show on Cbeebies. This company knows what it's doing it seems!

Chuggington? You're seriously kidding. It looks so dull.

Nope...And after watching a few episodes, it's...actually a lot better than most. It's lively, colourful, and unlike Thomas is getting these days, isn't repetitive. The CG isn't bad either. Nor the voice actors. And it has HUMOUR! HONEST TO GOD HUMOUR! Amazing. EDIT: The property's getting it's own magazine now. And GUESS WHO'S PUBLISHING IT? DC Thomson! Their first non Beano/Dandy related kid's publication in years!
