One's weekly pictorial reading material is absolutely spiffing and oh-so-posh this issue!
For a start, that ruffian known as Dennis is splendidly dressed up, along with his canine partner, for tea and cakes on the front page.
Then, will the young adults of the school in Bash Street finally make acquaintance with those of Posh Street?
Lord Snooty III of Bunkerton is much posher than any esquire ever seen before on this inhabited planet known as Earth in this number, making friends with young scruffs on the street, and spreading towards a second page.
And to top it all off, there are two absolutely wonderful prize-giving ceremonies where one can win pictorial reading materials for one year without spending a halfpenny, and win a pocket-sized gramophone styled with a picture of the front page ruffian on its back!
All of this for a slightly overpriced one pounds, nine-and-ninety pence. Jolly what-o!
Toodle-pip!

I'm really out of the loop for this to make sense. Was there a posh edition of the Beano?

Yep. It says on the top left corner of the front page: "Extra-Posh Collector's Special" and was out last Wednesday. All the strips inside have a "posh" theme except for Roger the Dodger, and the two reprints (Billy Whizz and Fred's Bed).

Good to hear that Lord Snooty is back in The Beano again.
Next week: The Beano, Xtra-Proper Chav Edition, innit?
